Seed Raising Mix
Pure Hydroponics supplies a range of Seed Raising Mix made from premium grade expanded Coconut Coir. These mixes are ideal for raising seeds of any type for transplanting into hydroponic systems or for general nursery use.
Simply pour the mix into a cell tray, spread the mix, plant the seed and irrigate.
Two main grades of Seed Raising Mix are available but customised mixes can also be prepared to suit a client’s specific cell tray design or any automated seeder or potting machine a client may be using.
The main grades available are as follows:
- 25% Fine Chip Coir, 75% General Purpose Coir. Includes buffering e.g Gypsum, Calcium Nitrate etc but contains no Controlled Release Fertiliser.
- 20% Perlite, 80% General Purpose Coir. Includes buffering e.g Gypsum, Calcium Nitrate etc but no Controlled Release Fertiliser.
Because the coir is so fresh and clean no fungicide needs to be added to the mix during manufacture.
Trichoderma (Beneficial Bacteria) can be added to the mix if required to improve root health and to naturally suppress disease.
Controlled Release Fertiliser can also be added for growers who are not feeding the crop with a hydroponic system.
The Seed Raising Mixes are available in 50 litre bags which are very lightweight to transport compared to conventional Seed Raising Mixes that do not use coir.
33 x 50 Litre Bags per Pallet.
